Yeah, the entire plot with James Jr. is getting a little old. I’m glad that Jim has finally noticed that his son is missing from Arkham Asylum and put everyone on high alert. Not that a regular beat cop could take down James Jr.

I am glad to see that Babs has to heal from her injuries. She doesn’t have superpowers, and it’s nice to see non-powered heroes actually needed some downtime after a very traumatic event.

I’m a little surprised that they’d introduce Firebug when it seems like the James Jr. plotline would actually be playing out.

Major hatred for this entire issue being narrated by James Jr. Is this his comic book? Is his name on the title? Bad creative choice there, Fawkes. I’m glad that Simone’s slated to return to this book.

And gross. Seriously, does everything have to escalate for cannibalism. Someone’s been reading too much of Morrison’s Batman. All I ask for is a little creativity.

I did love seeing Babs quickly take out Firebug. Even though she was both hurt and stunned by Damien’s death. Of course, calling Dick was one of her first instincts.

I do find it interesting that James Jr has all the identities of the Bat-family at his fingertips and he hasn’t tried to use it. Or even thought about it.

Yep, Simone’s back on the title, and I’m already enjoying it a lot more. Because we’re finally wrapping up the James Jr. plot. Finally.

I love the Alysia and Babs made up. I’m so happy that they’re roomies again and that they both opened up to share with each other. Even if Babs didn’t tell her that she’s Batgirl.

I’m a little surprised that Babs actually killed James Jr. Usually, they don’t let Bats, much less goodies kill folks. I was more expecting Momma Gordon to do the dirty deed. And why hasn’t Jim figured out that Babs is Batgirl again?

The end of James Jr and buy Batgirl Vol. 3: Death of the Family.
