I’m thrilled that Sif finally has her own title. She deserves it, and with the major craze over the Asgard comic books, there is no better time than now to launch it. Plus, I’m excited that Immonen is behind the title. Especially after Loki stealing her body, I’ve been worried that a male writer might not get the nuances of what happened to Sif and how she might deal with it.

I love that the first thing Sif does is save a village, get obsessed with a book of tales, and get annoyed about hanging around children too much.

Her journey to turn the book into a flesh teacher to become a better warrior is very interesting. I’m looking forward to more from this title.

I’m digging this tale of Sif’s journey into Berserker warrior territory. It’s a bit jarring and a bit fun to see that her family and friends realize something is wrong, but also think that she just might be in a really bad mood.

I love her cursing out the Oklahoma natives at the bar. And beating up Fandral for being too pretty will never be old. She can do that every issue.

However, her rage against the maids rubbed me the wrong way. Perhaps it was because of their station compared to her. Yes, she’s a warrior, but she’s also one of the elite in the Asgardian culture. Plus, we should never put down domestic work as not important as warrior work. Sif should understand that.

Heimdall pretty much sent her to the safest place that he could think of. Of course, she goes right up to kill that giant alien creature.

Oooh, I like that Immonen’s making this a bigger mission for Sif and that there’s a debt Heimdall owes that Sif will be fixing.

Doesn’t surprise me that Aerndis got her head back. Or that it was Heimdall who delivered it. That leak doesn’t look like something the two of them are going to be able to cover up without help.

Of course, it seems like the beast in the ocean that Sif’s and her Berserker rage are ready to destroy is the cause of the problem. At least, that’s what I’m getting from Schiti’s art. I love how Immonen puts in the history of the Berserkers and how they’ve mellowed and died out without killing all the beasts.
