While I’m still very interested in this world that Ruck and Lark are building, I was less engaged with this issue. Perhaps because Jonah is very much a character that I don’t care about. And a very stupid one at that. It’s ridiculous to think that Jakob Hock would give him some kind of asylum. Especially since Jonah knows that his family has the technology to keep him youthful whereas Hock doesn’t and seems obsessed with it.
The “take your medicine” propaganda was very creepy.
I am, however, very interested in the next issue with the summit of all the families. Crazy times.

I love this book. This issue was so good. I’m happy that we’re back with Forever and her story. Meeting Sonja Bittner was great too. Nice to see yet another Lazarus. Her outfit is pretty nifty too.
Also loved seeing more of Forever’s relationship with Marisol. Especially that she’s willing to keep some of the Forever’s secrets. At least for the moment.
Interested to see what Malcolm does about Forever starting to question who her real family is. I did enjoy how much Malcolm’s negotiation skills were shown off here. It worked well to explain more about how he rose his family to power.
While I don’t really care about him, I’m curious to see what will happen to Jonah. Clearly, Malcolm has written him off.

O-M-G. The Lazari all hanging out together at the gym was great. It’s interesting to see that they have a bond even when their families war with each other or have different interests. I want them to have Lazari club, where they all hang out and discuss their genetic origins. Clearly, it will happen over poker.
I was less excited over the reveal about Hock having achieved some of the keys to extra long life thanks to Jonah. Hock and his control through pharmaceuticals perhaps creeps me out much more than the rest of the families. Or what we’ve seen so far.
Still wondering about mommy Carlyle and what her story is.
Interesting that both Cristof Mueller and Joacquim have medals on their jackets. Does this mean they got their positions are Lazari by coming up through the military? I believe Joacquim is supposed to be related to the family, whereas Cristof being new and not a small child might say otherwise.
Loved Forever being extremely awkward about having to wear a ball gown. Hopefully, she won’t need to fight while in that dress. Except to maybe trip over Hock.
Joacquim has such a crush. And Forever maybe has a little too. I wonder what the rules about Lazari dating are. Probably a big no-no.
Take a journey with the families and buy Lazarus Volume 3.
